people-first matching, explained
“People first” isn’t a slogan we stuck on afterwards — it’s the order loro does everything in.
the usual order, reversed
The normal hunt goes: find a room → win the room → discover, weeks later, whether you can stand the people. loro runs it the other way: find the people → build something real → and then the room is easy, because the hard part is already solved.
what “the people” actually means
We don’t match on job titles or a nice photo. We match on how you live:
- when you sleep and wake
- how much quiet or buzz you need at home
- guests, noise, cleaning — the things that quietly make or break a share
- the small stuff you answer in your prompts
The people who line up on those are the ones who surface first. How that turns into a match is covered in how does matching work?
Everyone gets treated as a whole person this way — including the people with a room to fill, who fill in a real profile before they ever mention the room.
