how does matching work?

updated 21 July 2026

Matching on loro isn’t a mystery box and it isn’t magic. It’s a straightforward comparison of the things that actually decide whether living together works.

what we compare

Your profile carries the signals that matter under one roof:

  • sleep schedule — early bird, night owl, or somewhere in between
  • social energy — a quiet home to recharge, or a full kitchen table
  • dealbreakers — the hard lines you won’t share a home across
  • your prompts — the smaller stuff, in your own words
  • location — where you each want to be

the score

We turn that comparison into a compatibility score for each pair — the higher it is, the more your day-to-day rhythms line up. It’s worked out fresh for the two of you, never faked or padded to make a match look better than it is. Think of it as a strong hint, not a verdict: a lower score isn’t a “no”, it’s just fewer things already in sync.

you’re still in charge

loro surfaces the most compatible people first, but it never decides for you. You choose who to say hi to, and the other person chooses back. The score opens the door; the two of you walk through it.

Searching with someone already? That’s a flock.
